Greenaway Architects worked closely with stakeholders at VCAT to create culturally safe spaces, develop wayfinding strategy and procure artwork across two court facilities - located in Melbourne CBD and Bundoora.

The new VCAT facilities at Bundoora and Melbourne CBD, including the Koori Hearing Room, as well as reimagined reception and seating areas, are designed to provide welcoming and comfortable spaces for dispute resolution for the Indigenous community.

Infused with natural material, warm colour tones, and embedded with cultural motifs and artefacts, the Koori Hearing Rooms and other spaces support and facilitate culturally appropriate processes.
