Jefa Greenaway
Director, Registered Architect, BArch (Hons), BPD, A.D.AppSc
Jefa Greenaway of Greenaway Architects is a nationally recognised architect, academic (University of Melbourne), design advocate and a regular design commentator on ABC Radio Melbourne. As a registered architect in private practice in both NSW and Victoria, he seeks to reveal layers of history and memory through connections to place, demonstrating the value of people centred design which interrogates one’s own philosophical or ethical underpinning and design responsibilities. Over two decades he’s also championed Indigenous led design thinking, particularly through the International Indigenous Design Charter, as Regional Ambassador (Oceania) of INDIGO (International Indigenous Design Alliance) and sits on numerous boards that intersect with art, architecture and cultural heritage.
Cathy Drosinos-Greenaway
Senior Associate, Registered Architect, BArch, BPD
Cathy established Cadro Design in 1998, which became the genesis for Greenaway Architects and is a key Design Associate on all projects since the practice's inception. Cathy is involved in design and development of all projects in the office.
Educated in the University of Melbourne, Cathy honed her considerable skills with many established and prominent practices working on commercial, institutional and residential projects prior to joining Greenaway Architects. Many of the projects in which she has been principle designer have been awarded and published in newspapers and magazines including the Age, Herald Sun, Houses, Architecture Reviewand Belle.
Maya Wong
Registered Architect, MArch
Maya is an award-winning designer and architect of Greenaway Architects. Since joining the practice in 2013, Maya has participated in a broad spectrum of projects ranging from precinct-wide institutional redevelopment, multi-unit residences, to heritage renewal, as well as product and furniture design. She has also taken on diverse roles including feasibility study, design and documentation, 3D modelling, planning submission and contract administration. Maya is passionate about creating sustainable and energy-efficient design which focuses on users’ experience and wellbeing.
Kyle Borg
Architectural Assistant, BArch
Kyle is currently completing his Masters of Architecture at Monash University and has been awarded the Monash Art Design & Architecture ‘Best In Studio’ for his utilisation of adaptive reuse methodology in residential typologies.
Having been involved in a range of projects varying from residential, cultural, landscape and industrial design typologies, Kyle has developed a keen interest in technical design aspects of architecture. This informs his appreciation for functional design and refined tectonic expression.
Byron Watson
Architectural Assistant, BArch
Byron is currently studying his Masters degree in Architecture, and has been shortlisted for two RMIT Architecture Awards for Design Excellence. He has worked on a range of cultural, educational and public projects for Greenaway Architects that engage with Traditional Owner groups. Byron is interested in narrative-driven design and the transference of cultural information through the built environment, drawing upon traditional knowledge systems under the guidance of First Nations knowledge holders and Jefa Greenaway.
